Begum Najma Hamid, the aunt of Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has passed away, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.

Najma Hamid, the sister of senior Muslim League-N leader Tahira Aurangzeb, breathed her last in Rawalpindi.

Begum Najma Hameed was a senior member of PML-N and was elected senator twice.

The leadership of the party, politicians and key figures expressed condolence over the sad demise.

They prayed to the Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
