Accountability Court (AC) Judge Muhammad Bashir, whose leave application until his retirement had been rejected a few days ago, has again applied for leave within 15 days of the submission of his first application, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Quoting its sources, the channel reported that the reason which the judge had given for seeking the leave was his poor health.

They further said that Bashir was suffering from hypertension due to the nature and load of his work.

Only a few days ago, on Wednesday, Bashir had sentenced former prime minister and ex-PTI chairman Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi to 14 years in prison in the Toshakhana case.

But after pronouncing the decision, the judge left the courtroom, saying he was not feeling well.

Another NAB reference Bashir is hearing against the couple is 190 million pounds case (Al-Qadir Trust case).

At the same time, he is also hearing the Toshakhana reference against former prime ministers Nawaz Sharif, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and former president Asif Ali Zardari.
