A United Airlines flight from Houston to New York was evacuated Sunday morning after an engine issue led to a fire during take-off.

United Airlines Flight 1382, an Airbus A320, aborted its take-off from George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston just after 8:30 am due to the "reported engine issue," the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stated.

The fire department confirmed they were on the scene to help with deboarding the plane, which was en route to New York's LaGuardia Airport.

A United Airlines flight from Houston to New York had to be evacuated after it caught fire during takeoff, according to the FAA.
Houston firefighters assisted in evacuating the passengers, as stated by the Houston Fire Department on X. No injuries were reported.

The 104 passengers and five crew members used slides and stairs to evacuate the aircraft on the runway. A United Airlines spokesperson told CNN that they were rebooked on an afternoon flight.

Footage obtained by Fox 26 captured the terrifying moment, as flames erupted from one of the aircraft's wings while it was rolling for take-off.
