Indian man calls off daughter's marriage over dance performance by groom

A wedding in Delhi was called off after the groom's dance performance to the Bollywood song "Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai" angered the bride's father.

The incident, which took place in New Delhi, quickly became the talk of social media.

The groom arrived at the wedding venue with his baraat, accompanied by friends and family. As the celebrations were in full swing, his friends encouraged him to dance. When the popular Bollywood number started playing, the groom joined in, much to the amusement of some guests. 

However, the bride’s father did not share the same enthusiasm. Outraged by what he deemed an inappropriate display, he intervened and immediately called off the wedding, stating that the groom’s actions were an insult to his family's values.

The groom desperately tried to convince her father, insisting that the dance was meant for good fun. However, his explanations did little to change the father’s mind. Standing his ground, he refused to proceed with the wedding and, according to reports, even barred any further contact between his daughter and the groom’s family.
