The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Sindh Police on Tuesday claimed to have nicked a close aide of former Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan ameer Maulvi Faqeer Muhammad.

The most wanted terrorist was arrested from Super Highway.

CTD SSP (Operations) Ghulam Sarwar Abro confirmed that the terrorist was identified as Zameen alias Noorul Islam. Zameen had been a close aide of former TTP ameer Maulvi Faqeer Muhammad and Ameer Gul Muhammad.

In 2015, the terrorist was awarded Rs4 million as a reward by the then TTP ameer for martyring a major and jawans of Pak Army at Chishma Check-Post in North Waristan and presenting their heads to the ameer.

He lost one of his legs during a drone strike and later went into hiding in Afghanistan. The SSP claimed that he had entered Pakistan through Chaman border and reached Karachi for carrying out terror activities in the metropolis.
