ATC judge flays Imran for showing disrespect to judiciary

March 3, 2023 04:50 PM

The high drama appearance of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Feb 28 before different courts in Islamabad Judicial Complex has drawn a flak and indignant remarks from the judge of an anti-terrorism court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

In his terse and hard-hitting remarks, ATC Judge Raja Jawad Abbas said that Imran on Tuesday brought 2,500 people along with him in the courtroom. He lamented that Imran’s party is called Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf but they keep raising slogans of: ‘Zindabad’ and ‘Murdabad’.

The judge went on to say: “The PTI gives example of justice system in Britain but they do not respect the judiciary themselves. The PTI chief brought along with him goons and ruffians in the courtroom. He came to attend one year’s court hearings but now has gone with next two years’ hearings. Now, the PTI will keep us busy for another one year.”

Judge Abbas said that he has got CCTV footage of Imran and his supporters’ entry to the anti-terrorism court on Feb 28 in which the PTI people could be seen indulging in hooliganism in the Judicial Complex.

A case was registered in Ramna police station against PTI Chief Imran Khan for creating mayhem in the complex.
