The attacker who made an assassination attempt on former prime minister Imran Khan Thursday justified his act saying Imran was misleading the people, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

He admitted that he tried to assassinate Imran Khan but failed.

He said he was angry that music was being run during the prayer call. 

He said he could not bear the fact that Khan misguiding the people and that’s why I attacked him.

He said he had decided to kill Imran the day he started his long march from Lahore. He said he acted alone and no one was accompanying him.
