Ironically, no aid team from the provincial health department has reached the area yet for vaccination and holding surveillance of the disease. The residents of the area had raised alarm about the suspected cases some weeks ago but it went unnoticed till the deaths.
Several other children in the village have also been affected by measles.
The affected children are rushing to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
However, locals complained about lathe ck of basic health facilities and the absence of qualified doctors in the area.
The last anti-measles campaign in the whole district is the only remedy to counter the disease.
