Caretaker cabinet mulls over measures to maintain peace

The federal cabinet met on Monday with caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar in the chair, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
The meeting mulled over measures to better the national economy and law and order.
The participants in the cabinet meeting strongly condemned the terrorist strikes in the country.
Last week, terrorist strikes in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa claimed dozens of lives and left a trail of destruction.
The cabinet offered fateha for the departed souls and expressed solidarity with victim families.
They prayed for a speedy recovery of the injured.
The Interior Minister briefed the cabinet about the measures adopted to cope with the challenge, sources said.
Reiterated peace resolve, PM Kakar said anti-terror combat will continue till the scourge is stamped out.
"The government is determined to eliminate terrorism from the country."
Also, the federal cabinet condemned the bombing in Turkey and expressed solidarity with the terror-hit.
According to Turkish government officials, two terrorists carried out an attack in front of interior ministry buildings in Ankara while one died in the explosion and the other was neutralised.
Noted personalities including former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif offered condolence and showed solidarity with Tukey.
