Lt Gen Munir Afsar appointed Nadra chief

Lieutenant General Munir Afsar has been appointed the chairman of the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

The selection committee shortlisted the three names for the slot NADRA in a summary by the interior ministry.

However, the cabinet approved Lt Gen Munir Afsar after a detailed consideration.

The new Nadra chief is currently serving as IG Communications and IT at the GHQ.
