Joaquin Phoenix’s rule on the silver screens scheduled in 2024

The legendary, versatile Hollywood actor Joaquin Phoenix hit the cinemas in 2019 with a super hit blockbuster film ‘Joker’ which revolved around the story of a stand-up comedian who turns into a notorious villain with a huge following because of the situations caused by the society for him.
It is reported that the sequel to Joker will be released on the fourth of October, which is exactly five years after the release of the original dark, gritty drama.
The sequel has the name ‘Folie À Deux’’ which means a mental disorder affecting two or more members especially in a family.
It is rumoured to be a musical, worlds apart from its origin, featuring Lady Gaga as Joaquin’s partner playing the character of Harley Quinn.
The legendary director Todd Phillips, who directed the 2019 Joker is returning to direct the 2024 ‘Folie À Deux’ and will be sharing the pen in writing the screenplay with Scott Silver. The Prequel of the upcoming film received 11 academy awards nominations and won two for the categories of Best actor in the leading role and the other one for best music.
