Acute gas shortage perturbs Lahorites’ life

Several parts of Lahore continue facing the shortage of gas as there is either no gas or gas with extremely low pressure after 8 pm on a daily basis, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
As temperature took a dive during the week, the demand for natural gas has increased in Lahore. However, the government seems to have failed to keep its promise of providing natural gas during cooking time.
There are complaints of gas shortage in several parts of Gulberg, Makkah Colony, and surrounding areas. Similarly, there is poor gas- pressure in Pakki Thatthi Samanabad, Ichara, Pir Ghazi Road and Rasool Park, Garhi Shahu, Habibullah Road, and Empress Road.
The administration of Sui Northern Gas has claimed that the gas supply will be improved within 72 hours. “There is a shortage of gas in the system, but the consumers have increased the use of gas due to cold weather, it added.
Various citizens complained about the non-availability and very low pressure of gas in Ravi Road areas. A housewife residing in Karim Park highlighted that she was unable to provide dinner to her family on time owing to the current crisis.
