Surgical items prices go up by 40

With the depreciation in value of Pakistani rupee, the medical treatment is also becoming expensive due to the surge in the prices of surgical items by 30-40 percent, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Surgical suture, gloves, gauzes and bandages, IV set and other related items including the drip set have now become dearer.
Patients are severely affected by the high cost of disposable medical equipment.
The price of Ansell gloves increased from Rs85 to Rs128.
The new price of LP needles is Rs140 after it went up by Rs30.
The price of urine bags has increased from Rs350 to Rs395.
The butterfly needles is now available at a cost of Rs50.
The price of blood bags is increased from Rs355 to Rs400.
The price of examination glass has increased from Rs500 to Rs700.
Nichiban tape's price has increased from Rs700 to Rs795, while the price of ETT tube has surged from Rs190 to Rs250.
The price of abdominal sponge has soared from Rs365 to Rs430.
The price of 5cc syringe has increased from Rs600 to Rs900 per pack.
