Schedule for Maryam Nawaz’s GB visit unveiled

November 4, 2020 04:35 PM

With just nine days to go in in the Gilgit Baltistan elections on November 15, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz will launch her party’s short but robust campaign from Friday as the schedule for her visit to the region was unveiled on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Maryam Nawaz will reach Skardu on November 5 with a programme mainly dominated by addressing corner meetings, PML-N support groups and a few gatherings.

The party has released the schedule of the PML-N Vice President’s visit as she will address Ghwari on November 5, Skardu on November 6 and Dambu Das on November 7, Gahkuch on November 8, Astore on November 10 and Chilas on November 11.

The PML-N workers are excited to receive their party leader as former Chief Minister of Gilgit Baltistan Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman has also planned a dinner in honour of Maryam Nawaz.

The TV channel reported that Maryam Nawaz will address public gatherings and highlight the PML-N’s five-year public service projects and development.

The party has also planned a public rally from Shigar to Skardu on November 6.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had been in Gilgit Baltistan running a robust campaign since October 21.

In his speeches, Bilawal has mainly targeted Prime Minister Imran Khan for his false promises and requested the GB people to use the power of ballot in favour of teer (Arrow, PPP’s election symbol).

It would be interesting to see now how Bilawal Bhutto and Maryam Nawaz will canvass GB voters to cast their ballots only for their party without criticising each other.
