Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has got a big relief from an accountability court in Lahore as he has been granted permanent exemption from the court appearance in the money laundering case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
However, the court directed Shehbaz Sharif to appoint his representative for appearance in the court.
On the other hand, the court sought reply from NAB on Hamza Shehbaz’s petition for permanent exemption from court appearance.
Accountability Court Judge Qamaruz Zaman heard the money laundering case on Tuesday.
The lawyer of PM Shehbaz and Hamza filed petitions seeking their permanent exemption from court appearance. The judged accepted the plea of prime minister but sought reply from Hmaza on his plea.
However, the judge accepted the application of Hamza allowing him one-day exemption from the personal appearance.
After that, the court summoned witnesses on the next hearing and adjourned the case till October 25.
