Roshni continues to toy with Umer’s feelings in Bandhay Ek Dour Se

September 4, 2020 01:16 PM

Bandhay Ek Dour Se is a classic love triangle drama with all the elements to keep us hooked.

This latest 7th Sky Entertainment production is fun, entertaining, and tugs at your heartstrings every now and then, adding that much-needed heft to the narrative.

The latest episode begins with Umer’s brother trying to make him see sense again. He tells him he should forget everything and try to be happy with his marriage.

Umer flips the situation on him and asks him what he would have done if he hadn’t gotten married to Najia as he wanted. His brother says he was committed to her, so he couldn’t have done that.

Umer’s sudden reaction and an incomplete sentence are enough to tell him that Umer loves someone else. When Umer comes home, he is indifferent and uninterested in everything.

Maheen asks if she should bring him some tea. He reminds her he has never liked her tea and ends up making a cup for himself. Later, when Umer was reminiscing about his childhood with Maheen, she brings up Roshni, which brings the conversation to an end.

The next morning, Umer gets a voice note in which she tells him she still belongs to him. Encouraged by Roshni’s expression of her love, he tells her his heart belongs to her and no one else.

While getting ready for his reception, Umer’s brother admits that a mistake has been made, but Umer should try to move forward.

Umer assures him he’s doing the best he can and is behaving with Maheen the way they used to when they were cousins and best friends. His brother tells him that’s what he’s doing wrong, but Umer refuses to listen to him.

During their photoshoot, both Umer and Maheen are evidently awkward and confused.

Things take a turn for the worse when Roshni arrives at the event and goes on to sit between the two of them on the stage for everyone to see, further worsening the situation. Later, Umer meets her and asks her why she has come there.

She insinuates that Umer is scared because of Roshni, who has come in between them. She ends up getting offended when he calls Roshni his best friend, with whom he can share his happiness and sorrows. The episode ends with Maheen asking Umer why Roshni came to their wedding reception.

The show is doing a brilliant job of balancing the characters and giving them enough emotional weight to see where each one is coming from. The upcoming episodes are bound to be interesting for which you have to stay tuned. Bandhay Ek Dour Se airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm.
