Tube Well Operator turns out to be millionaire

A Grade-IV employee of the Punjab government have been exposed as a millionaire and an illegal owner of a petrol pump in the court, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Saturday.
According to the details, the accused Asif Hussain is a tube well operator of the Irrigation Department in Muzaffargarh district.
Punjab Anti-Corruption Department traced his illegal assets including a filling station worth Rs350 million.
The department filed a case in the court and succeeded to establish the ownership of the petrol pump from the accused illegal as it was built with the money of corruption.
According to DG Anti-Corruption Gohar Nafees, the illegal petrol pump has been seized on the orders of the court.
The facts of the case also revealed that the tube well operated was a frontman of two former officers—XEN Pervez Iqbal and Mohammad Athar—of the same department.
The DG Anti-Corruption said that the property of Shafiq Pathan, former clerk of the Irrigation Department, worth Rs 3 crore has also been frozen on the order of the court.
He further said that the Anti-Corruption Department has also arrested Kashif Riaz, a stamp dealer who along with other accused Qasim and Abu Bakar seized 34 kanals piece of land of a citizen by forgery.
