Repolling in 15 polling stations of Balochistan Assembly constituency PB-45 has been started, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. Due to the law and order situation, the repolling was postponed last month.

Ali Madad Jatak, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate from Balochistan Assembly seat PB-45 Quetta was declared successful.

However, the Election Tribunal had disqualified Ali Madad due to rigging at 15 polling stations.

His victory was challenged by Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam (JUI) candidate Mohammad Usman Pirkani, while other candidates from different political parties also participated in the polls.

Now Majeed Khan Ackhzai of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and Nasrullah from Pashtumkhwa National Awami Party are taking part in the elections.

Balochistan National Party (BNP) announced to support JUI candidate Mir Usman Pirkani.
