Former legendary cricketer and ex-cricket team captain Waseem Akram on Sunday announced his decision to join the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) as a mentor, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking with the media, Waseem Akram said that the Kashmir Premier League is a big platform for emerging players where they can show their talent.
He said that during the previous season of the Kashmir Premier League, some talented cricketers also emerged.
The first edition of the Kashmir Premier League will be held in May 2025.
Earlier, Shahid Khan Afridi, a former captain of Pakistan’s national team, continues to be the brand ambassador for the Kashmir Premier League. His involvement has added significant prestige to the league, attracting widespread attention from both local and international cricketing communities.
The league is expected to feature some of the most distinguished national and international cricket stars, who will not only compete but also mentor the young talent from Kashmir, sharing their vast experience and cricketing knowledge.
