PM Shehbaz, Qatari Amir hold talks about economic potential

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani Sunday discussed a wide range of mutually beneficial issues and exchanged views to further strengthen the two countries' excellent cooperation in a variety of fields, including the economic and investment sectors.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, during a meeting, the prime minister praised Qatar for its ongoing support of Pakistan's economic programs and emphasized the tremendous prospects for cooperation between the two countries.
The Amir of Qatar praised Pakistani labour for its contributions to his country's development, highlighting the good performance of Pakistani security forces during Qatar's successful hosting of the FIFA Football World Cup 2022, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release.
During the meeting, both leaders discussed how to strengthen bilateral collaboration, invest, trade, and send more Pakistani-qualified employees to Qatar.
The Qatari Amir welcomed the Prime Minister and expressed his desire to deepen Qatar-Pakistan economic ties.
He also reaffirmed Qatar's commitment to continuing its full collaboration and support for Pakistan's development and growth agenda.
The Amir of Qatar accepted the prime minister's invitation to visit Pakistan.
Earlier in the day, the prime minister landed in Qatar for a two-day official visit to attend the 5th United Nations Conference on Least Developed Countries.
The summit, which will take place from March 5 to 9, 2023, will look at ways to accelerate sustainable development in the Least Developed Countries and assist them in making progress toward prosperity.
