Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon Monday said one person is hatching a deep conspiracy against all national institutions including the judiciary, election commission, and army and such kind of politics should not be allowed in Pakistan.
According to the 24 News HD TV Channel, Sharjeel Memon addressed a press conference and said about 10.5 million people are affected and the number of affected families is more than 1.8 million owing to rains and floods in Sindh.
The information minister further said 577 people lost their lives in the province including 190 men, 109 women, and 217 children due to the flood.
A tent city has also been set up in Hyderabad while 6 lakh 66 thousand 193 victims are living in the relief camps of Sindh and the government is providing two meals a day and medical facilities to the victims, Sharjeel Memon added.
He said 4426000 acres of agricultural land are damaged during the torrential rains and ravaging floods in the province.
The provincial government has its own plans for the rehabilitation of the victims and is engaged with all its capacity in the rescue and recovery work, Sharjeel Memon concluded.
