Leopard seen behaving like a drunken cat is sick

A leopard’s unusual behavior resulting from a brain disorder is erroneously has been attributed to alcohol intoxication in India, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to a video of a mob walking along and even taking selfies with a leopard is being widely circulated on social media platforms. In the video, this is seen that a mob petting and playing with a leopard, taking selfies with it, and even one among them trying to ride on it is being circulated to claim that the leopard drank alcohol from the distillery of raw liquor and forgot that he is a lion in Taragarh village of Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas district, on the banks of the Kali Sindh River.

The villagers initially were scared of it but later found that it was unwell from its activities. Then they gathered around the leopard and played with it.

It is true that visuals indeed depict the mob playing with a leopard and it showed no signs of aggression. However, this behavior is not a result of intoxication, instead, it is the result of certain neurological disorders it is experiencing.

On receiving the information from a villager, the forest department rescued the leopard and took the two-year-old leopard to Van Vihar in Bhopal for treatment. It is reported that the animal was in critical condition. According to these officials, the leopard is in critical condition due to a brain disorder.
