Punjab school teachers, students ordered to wear masks

School Education Department has issued directives to all the government and private schools of Punjab requiring them to wear facemasks and adhere to safety measures to protect themselves from respiratory and throat diseases in view of the growing smog, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Teachers and students have been advised to wear masks and use glasses to protect the eyes from the smog.
Meanwhile teachers have also been advised to encourage their students to stay hydrated during smog.
Garbage burning has been prohibited in the notification issued by the Department of Education, moreover, the teachers have also been instructed to refrain children from outdoor activities.
According to the directives, a strict action will be taken against the school heads failing to meet the instructions.
