Lahore High Court expressing displeasure over opening of shops and markets after 8pm has sought a report from Advocate General in this regard in smog remediation case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The court also sought long-term policy proposals from Advocate General at next hearing.
The court further ordered immediate steps to install water meters.
Justice Shahid Karim remarked that if water meters are installed, water wastage will be reduced.
The main cause of pollution is smoke and rush from vehicles, Justice Shahid Karim remarked.
Roads should be realigned, this will not cause traffic rush, Justice Shahid Karim ordered.
