MQM-Pakistan takes aerial route for election campaign

The Muttahida Qaudi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) went for an unorthodox method to highlight its election campaign as it used a single-engine aircraft to drop party’s leaflets over Karachi and other cities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
In order to promotion the election campaign of its candidates in Karachi, Hyderabad and Nawabshah, the MQM acquired services of a private plane which will drop the leaflets.
The aircraft started its operation at 9am on Tuesday, airdropping pamphlets from the sky.
The aircraft started its campaign in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and surrounding areas of Karachi at 9:30am, Federal B Area, Nazimabad at 11am, Defence and Clifton areas at 12.30pm.
The aircraft left for Nawabshah from Karachi at 1:30pm and dropped the pamphlets at 3:30pm.
A total of four flights dropped the party leaflets pm Karachi, Hyderabad and Nawabshah.
MQM-Pakistan hired a small single-engine aircraft from Sky Wings, a Karachi-based charter aviation company, for its election campaign.
The aircraft was given permission by the Civil Aviation Authority. In this regard, a letter was written to the Deputy Commissioners on behalf of Sky Wings.
