Maryam demands apology for tapping her phone

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz Thursday demanded an apology for tapping her phone, 24NEWS HD TV reported.
While addressing a press conference along with Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Pervez Rasheed, Rana Sanaullah and Maryam Aurangzeb, Nawaz lambasted the PTI government for receiving foreign funding as revealed by the scrutiny committee of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in its report.
She responded to a question regarding the leaked recording of a phone call with former information minister Pervez Rasheed.
PML-N Vice President demanded an apology for tapping her phone without her knowledge.
"As a citizen of Pakistan, it was a violation of my rights to tap my personal phone call. Therefore, I am not going to comment on this issue unless I receive an apology." she added.
She did not deny the content of her controversial calls regarding managing the media instead she demanded an apology for taking her calls.
She said her talk with Pervez Rashid was a personal one and no one should be allowed to tape her call or give the contents to a TV channel.
Recently, many audios of alleged phone calls of Maryam has been leaked to media that suggested how she influenced the media when her father Nawaz Sharif was the prime minister.
