Two more minors have died of gastroenteritis taking the tally to 18 in Tangwani tehsil of Kashmore district, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as seven-year-old Rozina and two-year-old Halima belonging to Mushtaq Ahmed village and Ganhor village, respectively.

It merits a mention here that at least 18 kids have so far died of water-borne diseases which are spreading among the children of the flood-hit people in Tangwani at an alarming scale.

It is learnt that hundreds of children in different areas of Tangwani have hitherto fallen prey to gastroenteritis owing to the unhygienic conditions emerged after rains.

It is also to be noted here that four children, suffering from water-borne diseases, had died in the relief camps set up at the railway station.

The locals blame the district administration for not setting up a relief camp in the area. “Children are dying due to lack of medicines,” they said.
