On the 6th day of the September 1965 Indo-Pak war, Captain Islam Ahmad Khan, Major Fakhr Alam Khan, Major Muhammad Munir Khan, Major Muhammad Sarwar and Captain Khalid Hameed Lodhi embraced martyrdom while fighting bravely.
Captain Islam Ahmed Khan embraced martyrdom at Devipur in Akhnoor in Occupied Kashmir.
Major Fakhr Alam Khan fought bravely at Akhnoor and captured 14 enemy artillery guns, his tank was hit by an enemy shell, martyring him.
Major Muhammad Muneer Khan went deep into the enemy's territory while he was hit by an anti-tank rifle and near Najle Chak, he was shot in the chest.
Major Muhammad Sarwar was advancing towards Akhnoor, tearing through the ranks of the enemy, but when he was only 6 miles away, his tank caught fire when a shell hit him and he was martyred.
Captain Khalid Hameed Lodhi was on his way to his final destination of Akhnoor after hoisting the victory flags in Tirutti and Jodrian when he came under attack.
