TT Singh incident: Postmortem report confirms poisonous pills mixed in tea

The postmortem report of victim Nadia Bibi and her daughter Aqsa confirmed that poisonous pills were mixed in their tea.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the postmortem report of Nadia and Aqsa has been released who were admitted to Allied Hospital Faisalabad in critical condition after drinking poisonous tea in Toba Tek Sing’s village.
According to the medico-legal report, the victims had empty stomachs when they used tea in the morning. The report further said it was possible that poisonous pills, which are placed in wheat, were mixed in their tea. However, the amount of poisonous pills was less, said the medical experts.
After the postmortem, the dead bodies of mother and daughter were handed over to the families and their funeral prayers and burial ceremony will be held in Gojra.
The mother and fifth and last sibling of the four children who had lost their lives in Toba Tek Singh after drinking poisonous tea yesterday breathed their last on Saturday morning. Nadia and Aqsa were admitted to Allied Hospital, Faisalabad after their condition deteriorated. There is a state of mourning in the entire locality as everybody is in tears following the heartbreaking incident. The father of the deceased children namely Sania, Iqra, Madeeha, Ali Hassan and Aqsa was in prison.
Giving his opinion on the deaths, Rai Arif, a doctor at Faisalabad’s Allied Hospital, said it appeared that pesticides kept in a stock of wheat grains might have been mixed in the tea.
