An assistant commissioner (AC), Income Tax was kidnapped from near a bus terminal in Sukkur on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Ghulam Shabbir Sheikh was heading home in Larkana from office when some armed men, travelling in a car stopped his car on the Ring Road, bundled him into the car and sped away.

Stenographer Kamran Jamali and a security guard Zainul Abideen were also accompanying the AC on the occasion.

The kidnappers, however, left both the stenographer and the guard behind.

Both men then went to SITE police station and got the case registered.
