Accused shot dead in police ‘encounter’ in Lahore

A dacoity accused was shot dead by his accomplice in Kahna area when the police was taking him to a site in a bid to recover the murder weapon, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Lahore police said that companions of dacoits opened fire killing the accused while the attackers managed to run away from the crime scene.

In another incident, an accused got injured and arrested in police shotput but his accomplice managed to flee away from the scene.

The second shootout occurred at Kamaha Ring Road area in Nishter Colony.

Police personnel asked them to stop the motorbike without number plate but the suspected dacoits did not stop and police started firing on them.

SP Iqbal Town Waqar Kharral said that an FIR has been lodged and further investigation will be carried out.

The Lahore police have also recovered a pistol, and motorbike from the suspect's possession.
