The protest by the students has suspended the educational activities at the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Reportedly, the students of the university are pressing for the acceptance of their demands. They have been protesting since yesterday. They managed to close the transport section of the university, besides shutting all academic blocks and most of the varsity gates.

In view of ongoing protest by the students, the administration has postponed the final examination going to be held today in the university.

The students wanted the administration to accept their demands including probe into alleged corruption and malpractice by the varsity staff and suppression of students’ freedom of expression.

They also wanted withdrawal of ‘vindictive’ cases lodged against the students by the varsity administration. They demanded construction of new hostels and introduction of one-window system in the admin section of the university for the facility of students
