Police claimed to have killed a bandit in a shootout at Sunder in Lahore, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

According to police, two robbers were busy looting citizens when a team of cops showed up.

The bandits fired shots at police as soon as they noticed the lawmen and the cops fought back leaving one of them died while the other managed to escape.

According to the police, pistols and bullets were recovered.

The lawmen said they are in contact with the department concerned to ascertain the identity of the dead dacoit and a hunt for the runaway outlaw is on.
