BHC Christian Turner visits girls’ school in Islamabad

British High Commissioner (BHC) Dr Christian Turner on Thursday visited a girls' school in Jabba Teli, Islamabad.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Dr Christian Turner visited different classes and met teachers and students.
Talking to teachers and students, the British High Commissioner said girl child education is the key to the success of Pakistan.
Dr Christian Turner said education is a guarantee of ending poverty, improvement of health facilities, and economic development of the country.
He said the UK is helping every girl in Pakistan to get 12 years of quality education.
The British High Commission said at present, 155 faculty members are imparting quality education to 10,000 students in 52 schools in Islamabad.
Officials of the federal education department and private institutions were also present on the occasion.
