Unidentified gunmen shot dead a businessman in Shadbagh area of the Punjab capital, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday. 

Local trader Ashfaq was going home in his car when he came under attack. 

The incident seems to be a case of robbery. However, police have launched an investigation.

The body has been shifted to Mayo Hospital morgue.
