In a breakthrough, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Karachi police has arrested a suspected spy working for India’s intelligence agency, RAW, from the Mauripur area, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Tuesday.

According to the SSP Shoaib Memon of the SIU, the Indian intelligence agency operative's arrest was made during a targeted operation near Michli Chowk in Mauripur.

The SSP said the arrested spy, identified as Mohammad Saleem, was found in possession of a hand grenade, a bomb launcher, illegal weapons, and service cards from various departments.

SSP Shoaib said multiple passports and identity cards under different names and other sensitive documents were also recovered from the Indian spy during the operation.

SSP Memon stated that maps of strategic locations, including Manora and China Port, were seized from the suspect, raising concerns about espionage activities.

It was revealed that the accused had frequently travelled between Pakistan and India via Nepal, as evidenced by stamps found on his recovered passport.

Following the recovery of bombs, illegal weapons, and other anti-Pakistan material, three cases have been registered against the suspect.

Authorities have launched an extensive investigation to uncover further details about the spy’s activities and connections.
