The Islamabad police on Tuesday arrested PTI senior leader Shahbaz Gill from the limits of Banigala police station, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sources said the Islamabad police registered a case against Gill under sections that include using derogatory remarks against sensitive state institutions. 

He was taken into custody from outside Imran Khan’s residence at Banigala Chowk of the federal capital.

The Islamabad police after arresting the PTI leader shifted him to an unknown place. 

Former information minister Fawad Chaudhry confirmed the news saying that the authorities have abducted Shahbaz Gill.

In his tweet on Tuesday, Fawad Ch wrote: “Shahbaz Gill has been abducted from Banigala Chowk by people who came in vehicles without number plates.”
