Mad dog killed after injuring 11 in Renala villages

Villagers killed a mad dog after it injured 11 persons and three cattle heads in four villages of Renala Khurd.

A person also injured when the villagers fired indiscriminate gunshots to kill the dog.

According to health officials, the mad dog went on rampage in Chak 18/1L, Chak 2/1L, Chak 5/1L and Chak 31/1L of Renala Khurd Tehsil.

The dog also injured three cattle heads. Villagers, however, killed the dog after chasing it. The injured were shifted to THQ Hospital Renala Khurd from where three of them were referred to DHQ Hospital Okara in critical condition.

WOMAN, TWO KIDS INJURED

Meanwhile, a woman and two children were bitten by mad dog in Rahimpura area of Wazirabad. The dog-victims were rushed to THQ Hospital where they discharged after mere first ad due to unavailability of rabies vaccine. Local have demanded the authorities to ensure availability of rabies vaccine in all healthcare outlets.
