An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Thursday indicted former foreign minister and PTI stalwart Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the case of the burning of Shadman Police Station in Lahore on May 9, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

All those nominated in the case, including Sanam Javed, Alia Hamza, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Tayyaba Raja, Khadija Shah, Robina Jameel, Umar Sarfaraz Cheema, Ijaz Chaudhry, Mian Mehmoodur Rashid and Dr. Yasmin Rashid said they were not guilty.

Judge Manzar Ali Gill directed the prosecution to produce its witnesses in the court on the next date of the hearing.

Rana Mudassar Umar Advocate and Burhan Moazzam Malik represented the accused.

Later the court adjourned the case’s hearing until January 16.

Thousands of PTI workers and supporters took to the streets after hearing the news of the arrest of their leader Imran Khan on May 9.

They allegedly vandalized the government and army installations besides setting fire to the memorials of the Pakistan Army martyrs.
