Yashma Gill is one of those talented and versatile Pakistani actresses who have made a name in the entertainment industry in a very short period of time.
With her incredible performances in hit drama serials such as Qurban, Ghar Titli Ka Par, Ki Jaana Main Kaun, Piya Naam Ka Diya, and Alif, she is now seen playing the role of a rich, bubbly girl with high standards in Pyar Ke Sadqay.
Starring alongside Yumna Zaidi and Bilal Abbas Khan, Yashma plays the role of Shanzay, the love interest of Abdullah, played by Bilal Abbas Khan. Shanzay is a beautiful and intelligent girl who rejects Abdullah since he does not meet her standards.
He is a timid boy who stutters and performs poorly at the university, while she seeks someone who matches her standards of intelligence and charm. She is now getting married to a guy who is really full of himself and wants everything his way.
While Abdullah valued her a lot, she is now engaged to someone who does not appreciate her even a bit and thinks that she is not good enough. This attitude of her fiancé and the conversation she had with Abdullah and Mahjabeen a couple of episodes back makes her regret the decision of telling Abdullah off.
Shanzay’s character has multiple layers, and various shades and Yashma impresses with a perfect portrayal of all those expressions, emotions, and thoughts that she goes through. She has brought her versatility to the drama and made Shanzay a relatable character stuck in a dominating relationship. Although so far, she has got limited screen-time, in all the appearances she has made so far, she has made her presence felt.
Whether it was showing her frustration for Abdullah and insensitivity to his feelings, or it was voicing her concerns with her fiancé, she nails every expression and owns the character of Shanzay wholly.
With Shanzay in a toxic relationship, we are looking forward to seeing more of her in the upcoming episodes of Pyar K Sadqay and find out how she tackles this situation.
