The slow immigration process being carried out by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) staffers deployed at Karachi Jinnah International Airport has irked passengers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Dozens of passengers who were travelling on connecting flights faced severe problems in their immigration as the work at the FIA desk at Karachi Airport was under way at a snail’s pace.
The slow immigration has led to the flights delaying which has become a ‘new normal’ at the Karachi Airport.
Also, no SOPs are being followed at the immigration counters. The inexperienced staffers of FIA are the reason for the slow immigration process.
Sources say the new staff at the FIA immigration counters take 10 minutes instead of the standard two minutes to deal with a passenger.
The CAA has directed to ensure corona SOPs and not to make long queues.
