Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that he has proof that Tayyaba Gul had stayed in MP House, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The federal minister was talking to media in Faisalabad where he went to celebrate Eidul Azha on Sunday. He offered Eid prayers at Iqra Taleemul Quran.

While talking to journalists, Sanaullah said that he was in possession of evidence that showed that main character of NAB scandal, Tayyaba Gul, had stayed at PM House. Had the case of Tayyaba been solved at that time, the NAB as an institution would not have been destroyed today, he added.

He denied Tehreek-i-Insaf’s claim that the government was making cases against journalists. He said the cases which the PTI government had made, they had no precedence in history. He lashed out at PTI Chief Imran Khan and former NAB chairman Justice ® Javed Iqbal on Ms Gul’s case.

On the resumption of IMF loan programme, the minister said that though the IMF had made us to dance to its tune, it still was not reviving the programme. We have even accepted those conditions of the Fund which we kept on opposing, he added.

He, however, said that the talks with the Fund had been completed and expressed his hope that the global lender would release us the next tranche in a week’s time. He was optimistic that Pakistan would come out of the current crisis.

Hitting hard at former prime minister Imran Khan, the interior minister said that former premier did nothing except victimizing his political opponents. He said that the country was passing through a critical economic juncture. He boasted that his party had rendered the ‘gang’ which brought economic disaster upon country ineffective.

Sanaullah resolved to eliminate terrorism permanently from the country. He also hinted at dealing sternly with those indulged in politics of protests.

On Punjab by-election, the minister was confident of his party’s victory. He said that the PML-N’s position was strong in the province.
