A team of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday visited PTI stalwart and Leader of the Opposition Senator Shibli’s residence in sector F-6 of the federal capital to remove an alleged encroachment at the rear side of his house, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Later, however, the team left when the senator assured that he would get rid of the lawn which it deemed an encroachment.

Later talking to the media, Senator Shibli said that when the Capital Development Authority (CDA) did not find any other excuse, it declared the lawn built outside his residence in Islamabad ‘illegal’.

He said he had discussed the matter with the CDA officials. “If they have an objection to the lawn, I better get rid of it,” he said, “I had developed the lawn for security purposes.”
