Kyiv said Sunday that a Russian strike on the east Ukrainian town of Myrnograd in the embattled Donetsk region wounded at least nine people.
"Russians shelled Myrnograd with three S-300 missiles: at least 9 people were wounded, including 1 teenager," the head of the Donetsk region, Vadym Filashkin, said on social media. He added that "nine high-rise buildings" were damaged.
One dead in Ukrainian shelling of Russian border village
Ukrainian shelling of a Russian border village in the Kursk region killed one woman on Sunday, the local governor said on social media.
"Today the village of Kulbaki in the Glushovsky district was shelled from Ukraine," Kursk region governor Roman Starovoyt said. "As a result of a direct hit from a shell, a residential building caught fire and a local woman died. Her husband had extensive burns and is now receiving qualified medical care."
Kyiv air force says downed 35 Russian drones
Kyiv's air force said Sunday it downed 35 out of 39 Iranian-made Shahed drones fired by Russia across Ukraine overnight.
"As a result of combat operations, 35 'Shaheds' were shot down" over 10 regions across central and southern Ukraine, the air force said on social media.
