Govt increases profit rate on saving certificates

Good news for the holders of National Saving Certificates as the government has raised the profit margin on different saving certificates, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, the government on Tuesday hiked profit margins on various National Saving Certificates.

The profit margin on Behbood Certificates has been raised by 1.44%. After this raise, the holders of Behbood Certificates will get a profit of 14.16%.

The government has also increased profit on Special Saving Certificates, now the holders will earn a profit of 12.40% on Special Saving Certificates.

The profit rate has been hiked on Regular Income Certificates and with an increase of 0.96%, the profit margin on these certificates has risen to 12%.

The largest hike was announced for the holders of Saving Accounts as their profit margin has been increased by 2.50% and they would get a 10.75% profit on their certificates.

The new rates will be applied from today.
