Pakistan former captain Shoaib Malik and India’s tennis ace Sania Mirza are now officially divorced, claims Indian media.

The couple who was separated for sometime now has officially parted ways.

A report of Inside sports quoting a member of Shoaib Malik’s management team confirmed the development, saying Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza ended 12 years of marriage.

The couple officially parted ways, the unidentified man revealed, however, he refrained from delving into details about the separation.

Reports quoting close friends of the sports power couple suggest that paperwork is done in this regard.

Recently, Sania shared a post on social media adding up more fuel to her divorce speculations. The post she shared read: “Where do broken hearts go. To find Allah.”

Another interesting detail that has come to the fore is that Sania reportedly moved to a new house in Dubai, quite recently. Earlier, she was living in a villa in Dubai's Palm Jumeirah with Shoaib Malik.

Sania's sister Anam Mirza, who is married to Indian Cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin's son Asaduddin, is a content creator and posts daily vlogs on YouTube. She recently documented Sania and Shoaib's son Izhaan's birthday party where Shoaib was also present.

Shoaib also shared pictures from the birthday party, but Sania didn't.

Another interesting detail that has the fans concerned is Shoaib's recent appearance on the Pakistani Cricket show 'Ask the Pavillion' where he was asked about the location of Sania's tennis academies. Shoaib replied by saying that he did not know much about the academies.

Shoaib's response surprised Waqar Younis and he jokingly said: "What sort of husband you are?"

Shoaib and Sania got married in 2010 in a highly controversial landscape with another woman accusing Shoaib of marrying her first.
