Punjab CM Naqvi visits Raiwind tableeghi congregation site

Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Syed Mohsin Naqvi visited the site of annual tableeghi congregation in Raiwind early Friday morning and met with the ulema and organizers of the event there, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He discussed with Maulana Ahmad Laat, Mian Ahsan, Imtiaz Ghani, Anwar Ghani, Maulvi Amir and others the arrangements made for the event as well as the facilities provided to the participants.
The chief minister gave necessary instructions to the CCPO, commissioner and the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) DG regarding arrangements made for the congregation.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that cameras had been installed in and around the site and the number of cops patrolling the area had also been increased so that effective monitoring of the event could be ensured.
Similarly, he went on to say, the number of wardens regulating traffic had also been increased.
The CM said he was happy that the police, the administration and concerned departments were coordinating with each other to ensure that complete arrangements were made and foolproof security could be ensured.
He further said that lighting arrangements had also been made in and around the venue of the event. “The entire team is working like one unit so that maximum facilities could be provided to the participants,” he added.
Maulana Ahmad Laat, on the occasion, prayed for the unity of Muslim Ummah, peace, prosperity and stability of the country.
The organizers said that this time 500,000 people were expected to attend the event.
They said they were satisfied with the arrangements made by the Punjab government for the congregation.
