An attempt to contract marriage for the third time cost dearly to a resident of Karachi’s North Nazimabad, whose first wife gate-crashed the ceremony and beat him up before getting him arrested.

The guests at the wedding also informed the police of the tumult created by the first wife. The police took the man into custody on the woman’s complaint.

The viral footage of the incident depicts the groom in tatters after the beating by his first wife and her relatives.

According to the details shared by the first wife, her alleged husband had dropped him at her brother’s house and never contacted her later.

However, the police released the groom saying that the matter is for the court to decide. But the groom’s suffering did not end here. An angry crowd was waiting for him outside the police station and they further thrashed him.

The situation could turn worse but the man using the presence of mind took cover under a bus to save his life, according to the police.

The first wife claimed that her husband was getting married for the third time without informing her. On this matter, the police said that it can only act after the judicial orders.
