Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser said on Saturday that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif’s recent statements were an attempt to sabotage the ongoing dialogue process between his party and the ruling coalition.
Responding to Maryam and Khawaja Asif’s commentary on the ongoing negotiations, Qaiser said these people blame jailed former prime minister Imran Khan’s tweet’s for possible failure of talks, but in fact they are doing everything in their control to disrupt the talks. He said the PTI is a victim; it has been victimized. He said the PTI was stopped from exercising its basic right on November 26 and gunfire was opened at innocent people. He said that PTI was also victimized on the pretext of the violent incidents of May 9.
He said that PTI people were being punished by military courts despite the fact that military courts could not try civilians in any case. He said that blame was being put on Imran Khan despite all these injustices. He said the PTI had lowered the number its demands despite its reservations. He said the PTI was not afraid of anyone; it wanted to move forward just for the sake of Pakistan.
