Usman Khan, a UAE cricketer representing the Multan Sultans, has made history in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) by becoming the first player to score two centuries in a single edition of the tournament, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Usman Khan’s aggressive style of play was on full display as he scored a rapid 100 runs off just 50 balls, boasting a strike rate of 200. His innings included 15 boundaries and 3 sixes.
This century marks Usman Khan’s third in the PSL, further cementing his status as a key player for the Multan Sultans. His first century (in PSL 9), a score of 106 runs off 59 balls, was against the Karachi Kings.
Usman Khan also holds the record for the fastest century in the league, a feat he accomplished in the previous year.
Born in Karachi, Khan has now scored three centuries in just 14 PSL innings, tying with former Peshawar Zalmi star Kamran Akmal for the most centuries in the league.
However, Khan achieved this in significantly fewer innings than Akmal, who took 74 innings to reach the same milestone.
This achievement underscores Khan’s exceptional performance and significant contribution to his team in the PSL.
His aggressive batting style and ability to score quickly have made him a valuable asset for the Multan Sultans.
